blog has moved

I have migrated this blog to a different server.  The new address is fightingclutter.wordpress.com.

The wordpress platform offers many more options that are valuable to me, including the option to host the blog on the hoarders-no-more-meetup.org site.

What do I do with all this stuff?

If your stuff is starting to pile up around your living space, welcome!  Hoarding has gotten a lot of attention in the media recently, and I believe that most of the shows are actually doing a disservice to those who are struggling with disorder.  I see our (I say our, because I have struggled with this, too.) plight being sensationalized, and not enough good solutions being offered.  I am mainly referring to the reality shows, and we must remember they are trying to sell their own shows.  It is in their best interest, as a business entity, to create compelling television, frequently at the cost of the subjects, their families, and the disorder itself. The more extreme the situation, the better.  I don't begrudge them this, and ultimately, I am grateful for these shows, because they led me to really tackle the problem head-on.
